Conversation fillers

Um... Well... You know...

Every language has it's little "fillers" — Things to say that don't actually mean anything, but are used when you want to change the direction of the conversation, when you don't want to give a direct answer, when you encounter some awkward silence, or when you're simply looking for the right word.

"Well..." "So..." "Anyway..."

French is no different. Tuck a few of these into up your sleeve for those occasions.
